The'deflcleney for New York is 8 per eent and 10 for Pennsylvania. In moat of the Southern States the crop is smaller than that of last year. A direct comparison is made between the total product of grain in each coun ty ia 1872 and 1873, having for its ele ments both the comparative yield and extent of area. The cotton reports of November, unlike those of the comparative con dition' earlier In . the season, make the exact esti states of the expected crop in eon county stated in the form of a percentage of last year's crop. The aggregate of these estimates varies a little from three million and seven hundred thousand bales.
